‘You are rebuilding and reinventing Hilbre’

The CASS is a BADA project dedicated to combining science, art, and community engagement on Hilbre Island in North-West England. By treating Hilbre as a living laboratory, THE CASS brings together artists, scientists, and communities to observe, document, and interpret the island’s unique ecology—shaped by tides, wildlife, and shifting habitats. The project aims to deepen understanding and inspire protection of these fragile environments, welcoming collaboration and participation from anyone interested in the area’s natural and cultural heritage.
